TOPIC: Keep the faith (2) TEXT: Mark 13:13

MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 10:22 “And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.””

TEACHER’S OBJECTIVE
1. Expose the children to the reasons why men will hate them.
2. Explain and demonstrate to the children what to do survive men’s hatred.

CENTRAL TRUTH
Love those that hate you.

INTRODUCTION
Ask children questions based on the previous lesson learnt.

PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
1. In this world, there will be troubles but the good news is that Jesus has overcome
    the world – John 16:33.
2. For you to keep the faith, you must be deeply rooted in the word of God.
3. The persecution of men due to your faith in Christ will bring patience, Patience;
experience and experience; hope: above all tribulations brings you glory – Romans 5:3, 4,
    Ephesians 3:13.
4. Love those who hate you.

APPLICATION
Jesus suffered tribulation and persecution from men, yet He loved them and even died for
them. Since we have confessed Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we should expect the same
thing they did to Jesus to happen and thus we should love them the same way Jesus loved them.

MESSAGE OF SALVATION
True love can not be expressed without Christ because Jesus is love. He had shown the
greatest love to mankind by giving his life for all unconditionally. You too can equally
enjoy this love, joy and peace given by Christ if you will humbly accept him today as your
Lord and Saviour. Accept him today.

CHALLENGES
Though men will hate you because of Christ they will do everything human possible to draw
you back from Christ. Never give up but be strong and be courageous. He that endures unto
the end shall be saved.

CONCLUSION
Jesus is the only source of strength that can help us keep the faith to the end.

INVITATION
